To keep our members informed and up to date on current events with the benefits of our retirement from Merced County and advised of anything new that could affect our members. One of the intentions with the development of this website is to be a cost saving factor for the postage spent on mailing the quarterly newsletter. We are asking Remco members that are willing to review the quarterly newsletter via the Remco website, to contact one of the site administrators listed below with an email confirming that you no longer want the newsletter mailed to you. The endeavor of constructing this website for Remco has been a new experience for all of us who have been involved. We are sure as time goes on some changes will be necessary as we learn as we go. If any Remco member has any thoughts or suggestions, again contact one of the site administrators below.

I was thinking about all the press the brother of Sheriff Pazin has received lately. The Sheriff is an elected official. And being such comes under the scrutiny of the press and public, that’s part of the deal. I am sure The Sheriff understood this when he ran for office and accepts this burden. His brother however did not run for any office, and there for is not an elected official but private citizen. I think it is a shameful act when anyone uses family members as a tool to get at someone. I know criminal gangs use this tactic, I know terrorists use it. I have heard that the KGB used it. I find it very disheartening to see our so called free press using it. This is a line in the sand we as free ethical people should not allow crossed. If you wish to go after the Sheriff, then go after the Sheriff, not his family. Some things are just wrong.
